JOIN US ON OCTOBER 4 as we participate in the first fall

Texas Hill Country Lavender Festival -

visit four Johnson City-area lavender farms. 

At the crossroads of the Hill Country, Johnson City is surrounded by wineries and vineyards, lavender farms and peach orchards.  Hardly a weekend goes by that there isn't more than one reason to take a short trip out to the Hill Country.  When our blooms are at their best, we will have our lavender meadow open for viewing and cutting.

August 5, 2008 BLOOM UPDATE:  Buena Vista has started a second bloom.  Provence is heavily spiking and will be ready for field u-cut by mid-August. Other varieties are beginning their bloom journey.  You are invited to stop by our fields most  Saturdays from August 16 through October 4 for viewing, taking photos or u-pick.  We will have products for purchase at our lavender barn beginning Sept 20.

LAVENDER IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY? 

Temperatures range from lows in teens to 100+highs, so growing and maintaining plants in the Texas Hill Country is challenging.   Our lavender meadow now has over an acre of mature lavender with different varieties blooming April through October.   We continually experiment with different varieties of lavender as well as cultivation methods. We are delighted to share our experiences with any potential lavender grower whether you are supplementing your garden .. or starting a lavender farm.
